Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August, 1965 is an American actress. She is most famous for her part as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. After the end of the seventh season the show was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian who was of English descent. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has said that she participates in Passover seders.
